First it was all the evil clowns leading up conveniently to IT a movie with a spooky clown

Now all this stupid hype about a discontinued fast food sauce tied to a 20 year old marketing campaign from an amimated film that is set have a live action adaptation to drop next year or so

Are people really this ignorant that they can't see a blatant viral marketing for what it is?

Are you really so ignorant that you don't realize that if this was viral marketing, they would've waited until next year to do this? And people aren't buying this and thinking "golly gee! I sure want to see that Milan movie now!" They're buying it solely because it's a Ricky and Morty meme. Nobody will even remember this 3 months from now, let alone a year.

Rofl, dude please. McDonald's got so many customers into their doors today that they had to call in the riot police. All for a dipping sauce that literally no one cared about between 1998 and April 1st of this year(seriously, check the google analytics) . I mean the topic premise is dumb because there's not anything inherently wrong with buying into a marketing stunt, but you're naive if you think this was anything other than that.

They want to start building the hype slowly and getting progressively bigger and more blatant after letting the public take the reigns themselves not even knowing they're basically giving free advertisement to a multibillion dollar corporation all while up to the thing you're virally marketing

The same thing happened with all those clowns and IT and the whole szechuan sauce ordeal currently happening with Rick and Morty is an insultingly blatant viral marketing campaigns and yet people are just so happy to bite down on Disney's hook that is literally just sitting there unbaited and it's sad

I honestly didn't even know the sauce existed until this whole Rick and Morty thing (and I don't even get *that* context because I've yet to see the show). Sure as hell would have never made the connection to Mulan.

Now that you mention it, the TC did a better job of advertising the live action Mulan movie to me than this whole sauce thing ever did.
I mean, hell, I didn't even know the movie was a thing until I came in here wondering what he was referring to in the title. (Yet he accuses others of being shills for Disney.)

People were literally going crazy to get this sauce and the fact it's appearance in the show was so random and out of place, there's no way this isn't some contrived marketing scheme from Disney and McDonalds
