I'd say it has more embarassments than successes.

Primer 55 have a couple of songs that I like. "Loose", "Lou Evil and "Hesitation." But aside from that, nah.

Only in rare instances, like the above video. Some old school rap groups would have guitars in their songs and they're usually cool too. PE had a cool sample of Slayer's "Angel of Death" in "She Watch Channel Zero?!".

Most nu-metal and the like is awful.

I tried collaborating with a rapper once while playing metal-ish riffs. Was kind of interesting.

He and his "producer" didn't seem to have a sense of verse/chorus progression. Like at all. They just wanted me to keep playing the same riff over and over on top of a basic drum loop. Was very easy on my part and didn't sound too bad, but I wouldn't want to do it again.

Anyway, the best example I can think of is Run DMC's "King of Rock."

Dry Kill Logic and Mushroomhead are badass and they have some "rap" influence. There's a few gems among a lot of crap though.

The title on the 2nd one is actually incorrect. It's actually from when they originally went by "Hinge" before they turned into Dry Kill Logic. Hinge had a little more rap influence. This is a slightly more "goofy" song.
