Aced the tutorial in less than a minute so thought I had this game on lockdown after seeing streamers struggle with it. First boss, first run and gun, ez. But now it's all f***ed and goddamn impossible.
What are the best items to buy CE? eyeing smoke bomb right now, seems OP. --- sigless ... Copied to Clipboard!

Try hitting the bosses with bullets, but at the same time making sure not to get hit by their bullets. Do that and then it's an easy game.

It's the bosses having awkward sizes and "hit boxes" that damage you on contact. the way they move around the screen and end up cornering you into the side of the screen from which there is no escape. Or just coming out of the damn floor right where you're set to land after a jump. --- sigless ... Copied to Clipboard!

Charge Shot is apparently the most useful one in the game. Each hit does about the damage of a basic gun super.

I played through the first Isle solo on normal, then created a new file and played through three Isles on Simple with the fiance only to find out you need to beat bosses on normal to unlock Hell, so we redid the first Isle and moving through the second. Now I've went back to my solo file and gotten a A on all the bosses in the first two Isles on normal and a few in Isle 3. Even got a few A+s and I haven't looked up anything online yet.
I bought Smoke Bomb immediately and only tried the other Charms a few times; the invincibility dash is definitely the best option, just figure out hitboxes and bamf through everything. Different weapon combinations work for different bosses. I've been partial to Spread/Chaser for most of the game but just started using Charge Shot and holy shit it kills bosses quickly. I'm feeling pretty good about my skill in a decidedly hard game but def uneasy about attempting expert. ... Copied to Clipboard!
