I used to think it was a good idea to make January and February playable but the game just drags. The social sim elements aren't any fun without the dungeons. In fact the social sim mechanic has long since overstayed its welcome and lost its novelty from persona 3 a decade ago.

The social sim stuff is what killed P4 to begin with for me. I bought it blindly with all the praise it was getting and claims it was the jrpg we so desperately needed. That fucking shit is no jrpg. It's fucking life sim bs 90% of the time. No thank you.

I just started P4G the other day.

Finished Yukiko's dungeon in one day and have been doing social sim stuff since then, waiting for story to progress and the next dungeon to open up.

Like, there is some TV serial killer on the loose and I'm spending my time stuffing my face with mega beef bowls and playing soccer.

I dunno, 10 years ago it seemed novel in persona 3, and I liked vanilla 4 which released pretty soon after.

But golden just shows all the flaws with that concept and I hope p5 isn't more of the same. If I ever decide to enter the new gen and play it.
