Anyone find this to not be true at all? I love being an adult. Sure responsibilities suck sometimes but I hated being told what to do, school and having no freedom 10000x more.

The innocence and zero stress is what I remember fondly. It was basically do your homework and pay attention in class and in return do whatever. Out there in the neighborhood streets till sundown pretty much.

I wouldn't say I'd go back though. Being in total control now as an adult outweighs everything else.

It's kinda hard to want to be a kid again when I was aware of the poverty my family faced and was unable to do anything about it.

Sure, I have wonderful childhood memories and that childhood innocence that is lost with adulthood. But day after day I'd see my parents' stress on making enough money for food on the table, and them telling me they couldn't buy me that toy with a broken heart cause they couldn't afford it. I hated that there was nothing I could do to help my family, and I felt guilty for being a drain on their resources (even though they never indicated as such, just my conclusion). I remember thinking this way as early as 4 or 5 years old.

Nowadays I make more than my parents combined and am able to provide for them as well as my own wife and kids. I have much more control over my life and the ability to help those around me, so I wouldn't give that up for anything.

I can't enjoy anything the way I did as a kid. I mean, there's adult stuff that I enjoy, but not to the extent that I liked just reading through game manuals or old Nintendo Power issues. There was an enthrallment there that I can't get from anything anymore.

Fixed. It's amazing that I even enjoy video games anymore since I buy maybe 3 a year

It also helped having a mom who also enjoyed gaming

I miss playing games with my mom ;_;

I know, how pathetic can I be? Jobless, and misses his mommy.

maybe in other 10 years my body'll finally fall apart

Then again even as a kid I never had much energy, frankly I'm amazed that I'm not morbidly obese or some shit(I'm 200 lbs)

@Genocet_10-325

if you think that, you are still a kid

my guess is you are 19-20 and don't have a hardworking job and actual responsibilities yet or mom and dad are buying your meals\dorm

also, your body starts having issues usually as you get closer to 30 and you realize you can't act like a kid anymore physically (like you did as 20 year old, a kid)

Nah. I lift really hard, am extremely muscular, have a well developed physique, and have been a gym rat for years. I've been asked to train people (and I have) and definitely exercise regularly.

Turned 26 and I have noticed my body slightly slowing down in certain ways (recovery especially).
