When you are tested with an audio clip, it sucks trying to piece together what is being said sometimes.

Well studied, but at first, the audio clip threw me off because of how strange the voices sounded and my mind focused on that. Second play, I got a few parts of it, but not everything.

No more replays.

Ughhh. 95% on my test or less. That's the ceiling after doing the math out. Instantly throwing away points and all I could do was take a complete shot in the dark. FML.

Learning languages is best done through actual speaking and listening. You can read up on the language and learn the rules and patterns all you want but in the end your mind doesn't work that way when speaking. Speech is a different part of your brain from logically piecing stuff together.

I don't know how relevant this statement was but I felt like throwing it out there.

Trust me, I know that. That's why going to a country and immersing one's self is the best way to learn. Sadly, I think part of it was I was really taken back by the voice of the speaker. It was almost Mickey Mouse-ish, but more high-pitched.
