8 therapy sessions (45 min most of the time got to 60min)
1 call with doctor
1 appointment to get bloodwork done, weight and ECG
Medicine (Escitalopram 10mg 30 pills+ Lergigan 25mg 30 pills)

About $20, which was the cost of the medecine.

Only had to pay for the drugs. And if I now reach $250 prescription drug cost within 12 months the rest of the drugs will cost nothing until this day next year.

Ah, but socialism has destroyed your way of life!

No, wait, pretty much every other civilised developed country in the world has healthcare provisions available for everyone so that people don't have to choose between their health and financial trouble.

And people in America would fucking cut off their foot rather than have such a system. Truly disgusting.

It's not even just Sweden or the better off places - even the less notable EU countries have amazing health plans.

Like we pay about 10 a month for full coverage.

I'm jealous. I have friends who can't afford therapy, but desperately need it. I got friends whose medicine costs hundreds of dollars a month and they constantly have to fight their insurance to cover it.

Wish my country would be sensible about this shit.

It does have flaws tho, so many ppl go for health care that the waiting times can get really long, and health care overall is very pressured.

I was lucky getting a therapy appointment same day I called.

pay higher taxes and lower fees at point of service

OR

pay lower taxes and much higher fees at point of service

the former has the added benefit of not straining you nearly as much during an emergency - it's much easier to spread the load over a year than to come up with a large lump payment when you get sick or injured

Yeah, and it ends up allowing people to have disposable income that would otherwise be used to pay for exorbitant medical costs.

Like.. I don't get why people think it makes sense to have people's lives be on the line due to a lack of funds, especially given that health care insurance already functions like what universal health care would function like, by having a pool of funds collected that would subsidize everyone's health care costs.

So this person is just not getting health insurance, which would "burden" them the rest of their life, at all?

I've had good experiences with my insurance though my employer and our healthcare system in the U.S. Just a few weeks ago I couldn't get a hold of my immunization records so I had get blood tests to show immunity. I called to schedule a lab appointment, got the time of my choosing that same day, was in and out within 15 minutes and my insurance covered 100%. And the results were sent to me within 2 days
