I don't get this point. Why would you even bring that up?

Like, you could bring up that their wealth means they aren't victims of systemic racism, but even if that were true they're not protesting systemic racism against themselves in the first place.

They're using their position of privilege and influence to spread a message they feel strongly about. And, in case you didn't notice, it's working. Everyone's talking about it. They're not flaunting their money or saying they're not getting paid enough, so why try to bring up money?

many of these same athletes put money towards charities when they don't have to. they visit sick children, they talk to troubled kids from their own communities, and many other things to give back.
