The Super NES test program cartridge has early Mario World sprites which did have traditional goombas at that point:

but for some reason they werent used as the boss battles of that game

super princess peach is amusing but wayyyyy too easy
its level design can get pretty samey and getting 100% is a huge pain in the ass

its actually is pretty good
its main problem is it came out early on in the DS life so it was one of the games that relied on the touch screen gimmick the most
but it was also one of the ones to still be pretty ok despite that.

just never upgrade your health otherwise what little challenge the game offers completely disappears.
