Just a few episodes into the Kyoto arc and wow...talk about a shift in tone. Show is far more serious now.

That episode convincing Kaoru (Spelling lol) to go to Kyoto was actually pretty sad.

I want to rewatch it because it getting new chapters, but my childhood memory was the bad dub that calls Kaoru with "Cory" and Kenshin as "Kenshi" without "n" in the end of his name.

Oh, I'm already past all of the filler. I'm talking about the Kyoto/Shishio arc. I read the manga when I was way younger (Like 10), but figured I'd see how good the show is, especially since I can't really remember much of the story. So far it's pretty good, but not as good as I remember.

Trust and Betrayal looks dope though. Gonna watch that after finishing the anime.

Trust and Betrayal is honestly one of the best animes I've ever seen. Like I've comfortably shown it to adults who don't like anime and they enjoyed it too.

I've heard that's it's ridiculously good. I'm so hyped to watch it, but I've been told to wait because it can spoil some of the original anime. I can't remember Kenshin's backstory at all.

Kenshin is one of those shows that I loved as a kid, but trying to enjoy a bit of nostalgia rewatching it as an adult was unbearable. Impossible to ignore the fact that it's a soap opera romance story for girls, with enough fights thrown in that they can make TV spots to bring in the boys.

It spoils much of what happened in Kenshin's previous life before the original anime. It's basically a different retelling of what happens in the manga after the shishio arc.

Yeah Trust and Betrayal is not just one of the best animes ever, but one of the best atchable media ever. I straight-up call it one of my favorite movies and don't even care that it's not a movie.

I actually saw it before the RK anime and the first episode made me go o_O pretty hard just because of how different the tone was. Like I was seriously double checking the internet to make sure I had the right show.

Reflection is something of a sequel to TaB, but it was just ok. It did a lot of really cool stuff but also a lot of really dumb stuff and despite having a few fights it's not at all an actiony thing.
