30 fucking years old.

I was what, 16 when I started posting here? Roughly that. Here's me then in 2003, just before I hit puberty:

High school was a bitch, I was easily one of the last people to grow any pubes and we had open shower places in the locker rooms. Oh yeah, I really am 16 there.

And the other day:

I caught up with a lot of old friends this weekend. My first ever girlfriend, my oldest school friend from Korea from when we were 10. A bunch of other people I haven't seen in at least 8 years. It's weird to see all these people and noticing that they haven't changed at all in many ways but also that they have very deeply.

Same old shit. Study hard, don't take school lightly just because you're doing ok in the subjects you like. Things aren't just going to work out just because you have some brains. Also be more courageous. So what if you're scared of singing publicly, join the choir anyway. Get involved in the school plays. Music is great but you can do more than just do music.

Don't be afraid of sports and pretend it's because you're an intellectual. Jamie C plays tons of sports and he gets better grades than you. You know the truth is you avoid sports because you suck at them, and you suck at them because you don't try hard enough. Things that make you uncomfortable and unsure of yourself are usually exactly the things you need to be doing.

Also ask Mardi out. Stop pussyfooting around it and just ask her out. She's the hottest brainiest girl in school and she's into you and you know that, and if you keep being a baby about it you're going to blow it and let that fucker Andrew C who bullies you daily take her. And she doesn't even like him, but she'll date him anyway. And in another 14 years when you're as old as me you're still going to wonder what those double D boobs looked like.
