Absolutely insane how quick times passes. I think both Halo 2 and 3 were the most hyped I ever got before a game release. Primarily because the trailers were epic as hell!

The trailers were no where near as grounded or emotional as the final game but overall I think it delivered on the hype. The theatre mode was such a cool thing and way ahead of its time. The 4 player coop campaign was a great addition. The new weapons like the Spartan Laser were fun. Just a great package all around. It was absolutely huge for the Xbox 360 too. Probably the biggest exclusive of that generation.

Yep, I was hyped as hell for that in high school.

I even bought the special edition with the helmet. It sits on my bookshelf to this day.

1-3 were all pretty good. ODST and Reach were decent.

I didn't like 4 at all, and haven't played 5.

I remember being in 7th grade and going to the midnight release and then going to school the next day with the game case. I made a lot of girls panties soak with that.

Halo 2 will always reign supreme. Right off the bat where they handled the scene where the Arbiter and Chief were staring each other down in such a cliche form just screamed bleh .
