I'm looking at a woman who I know is attractive. She has the right facial structure. She has the right body type. She may even have the right personality. But, oh no, her hair is just a bit too short and I can't muster up any attraction toward her.

Not only is it letting something petty control what you find attractive or unattractive, but you ultimately have no control over it. You can't force yourself to ignore that thing that is an absolutely off-switch for your libido. It's like saying that the keys aren't in the ignition, but you're gonna try and drive the car anyway. It's not happening.
