I don't use torrents anymore but I really hope they don't see those C&Ds that were sent to my isp back when i did. >.>

when I had my security clearance interview they asked me if I used torrents and I was like, "what's a torrent?"
he goes, "look, I'm gonna write 'no' but don't play dumb with me"

so yeah. they're pretty cool so long as they don't think you're a threat, can't see why a background check would be any different

Unless it's for a job at like the DoD it isn't going to go further than "This guy hasn't done anything that's gonna bar him from getting on a plane, right?"

Have you EVER knowingly engaged in any acts of terrorism?

They won't see the torrents lol, just stick to your story. Is this a security clearance or just a background check? If it's just a background check then you have absolutely nothing to worry about if you've never had any arrests related to it.
