I've got enough free time for the first time in a long time to do some gaming. haven't really played much of anything the last couple of years.

If you want a real challenge, play Prey

Prey is Deus Ex meets Bioshock i.e. progression system that affects playstyle and how you move through levels with the atmosphere of and different but reminiscent art style to Bioshock
Doom is fun balls to the wall action with stellar level design/secrets, satisfying combat and weaponry, and an awesome soundtrack. Mass Effect is fun but very flawed, if you like better than average third-person shooting with very advanced (to the point of kinda going overboard) gear crafting and other min-maxing stuff those are the main positives (to me at least). Doom. I just finished up a playthrough last week. Great game, if you like the idea of ripping and tearing your way through hordes of demons in fantastic, gory ways and hunting for secrets in the large level maps.

Alright, DOOM it is.
Think I might pick up prey too, it has me intrigued. Only reason I was considering ME is because it's pretty cheap and I'm a huge fan of the series. But i've heard it's pretty underwhelming. Damn, so many games have come out in the past couple of years.
