It's like skype but better.
It supports text chat and voice chat but no video chat. It's mostly geared toward gamers, you can give different members roles to line up with their team or just to change the color of their name tag. Roles are also used to give members special privileges, or to take them away, such as the ability to delete other people's posts, mute them, keep them from seeing certain channels, the ability to kick/ban people from the server etc. You can create a server and that server consists of text channels and voice channels. To invite people you generate special invites that you can edit the duration of and how many times the invite can be used. A social platform where you join servers from friends or other communities you are interested in that contain customized text and voice chatrooms by the server owner, and who can also upload 50 of any emotes they'd like to the server. It is useful for keeping communities together where they can easily communicate with each other, and has a nice phone app as well. Calling it AOL chatrooms is very inaccurate because you choose to join these servers that are generally themed around something.
