Wonder Woman's actions were in-character, but her logic wasn't. Contrary to what SJW writers believe, she never really had a "Vaginas YAAAAAS" attitude.

She would never try to justify soldiers dying by implying she wasn't responsible for their deaths even though she absolutely was. She would embrace the fact that she cut down opposing soldiers. The fact that they're also rapists would just be icing on the cake.

So rather than kill/stop the instigators herself with her unstoppable powers she instead chooses to indirectly aid others who don't have powers to do so thus causing a lot of unnecessary deaths? The Nazis couldn't have been stopped with "humanitarian aid".

This is the comic of New Frontier I think. The comic the movie was based on

Wonder Woman is exactly in the right, if anything those "men" did not suffer enough in my opinion.

Superman is a fucking bitch boy here to not understand why these women deserved their vengeance and that it should be "justice served, good job ladies, sorry you had to go through a traumatizing experience". If anything Superman should be angry no one noticed or did anything before Wonder Woman stepped up like a real woman.

War has always been a headache for comic book writers.

When real people are fighting and dying, it's disrespectful to have an invincible flying man in blue tights swoop in and defeat the enemy. Yet, it's also difficult to write a justification for why guys a individual like Superman would stay neutral when his country needs him the most.

Despite comic book covers with Superman striking Hitler or taking down military equipment, the writers of that era made deliberate attempts to keep the war out of the comics themselves. That didn't stop the cartoon writers though from having Superman single-handedly take down the Japanese armada as if the US troops couldn't get the job done themselves.

There were some stories of the pre Justice League, the Justice Society fighting Japanese and Germans in the early days of the war but I think they later stopped that because some of the readers were actual soldiers and they wanted to escape the war not see it in their entertainment.

Why do people always forget that Wonder Woman has an iron stomach for this kind of thing? She killed Maxwell Lord on a live television broadcast for heaven's sake, and she's never been the sort to waffle or regret her decisions.

it's not like Wonder Woman handed the weapons to the women and told them to kill anyone
she said she left them in a clearing, the tortured women made the choice of picking them up and using them on their tormentors

the strong implication there is those women were repeatedly raped by their captors, used as sexual utilities
these captors also murdered the villages and families of these women

expecting the women to overlook justifiable vengeance for the sake of Americanized "feelgood" rhetoric is grossly idealistic and an incompetent expectation during war conditions in a country that is not US territory

Wonder Woman realized that and didn't interfere with the revenge killings
