Thinking of switching our phones over from AT&T. We're paying just over $80/mo for 6GB of data and MetroPCS is offering two lines for $75/mo, so...

People in Miami refer to it as Metro Piece of **** so take that how you will. It was always pretty cheap though so I guess that's a positive.

Hmm. Interesting, it seems well reviewed online and my brother-in-law likes it. Anyone with personal experience?

I had it all through grade school when I got a cellphone and back then it was nice because I had unlimited texts and minutes after, like, 6PM or something. Plus a barely used my phone so having a cheap plan was nice for my mother who wanted to be able to reach me.

Now that all that is basically a given for all phone companies, they don't really have any draws to combat their lower data caps and shoddy connection. Maybe it's better now than it used to be since I haven't had them in, like, six or seven years, but I definitely had a trouble with no bars and bad connection a lot when I was younger.

Interesting. Okay, I know the plan we'd be interested in has no data cap and is 4G LTE, but definitely want to have coverage.

We live near Chicago so it SHOULD be okay, but that's good feedback. I'll at least do more research. I wonder if it's better now because TMobile bought them?
