Assuming you're playing on a emulator you could probably spawn some of the ones you need via cheats. Other than that, you're sol.

So he can't save the game or nothing? How does that work. Wouldn't op be better off playing on a emulator tho?

save file was untied to the battery. gen 3 was the first gen of pokemon to do that but all timed events like berry growth and sales on department store roof was tied to it so when the battery died the game is effectively broke to making competitive pokemon

my rse all have dead batteries

but when they remade the game on 3ds as omega ruby and alpha sapphire they made it connect to the system clock instead of battery

only reason to play emerald over any game made after it including or/as is the hoenn battle frontier not even found in the remakes

The save function on GBA games are different then GB games. GBA use flash memory and stores saves in a separate component than the battery. The reason the Gen 2 (and eventually Gen 1) games die is because the save battery and game battery are the same. So if the battery dies, for even a second, the save is lost.

Thanks for explaining that to me guys I actually thought advance games suffered the same fate as GB games did. And yeah.. the battle frontier is probably the only reason I'd go back to emerald. I enjoyed it on platinum and heart gold but it felt like something was missing that RSE had.

Emerald has a pretty broken pokemon cloning trick in the Battle Frontier last I checked. Just save the berried you need until you can do it.

Not likely. Even if you use a password for a berry you'd still need to have the perfect block blend guy show up and that's an event that's really rare. The fact you'd have to reset for it, as in the entire game, well.

Are you still able to collect berries from the Berry Master and such? Or are you just absolutely stuck with what you have?

i think both the berry blend guy and berry master are time based so no battery no time based

Is it possible to replace the battery without wiping my save? I'm not that far in right now but I'm really happy with the team I have now.

You can do the berry master ONCE. I don't know about the berry blend guy showing up but my battery died when I was inside next to him and if I left, he would disappear as though it was the next day.

no and replacing the battery starts even more problems.

it resets the clock to a date before the game was made and reads as invalid so until the game reads a valid date still no berries or events

You don't even need to touch the battery if it's only for berries.

Pomeg glitch to get whatever berries you don't have and battle tower cloning glitch to get as many copies as you need.

The video looks long, but everything you need really ends at half way and it's the text stays for a long time so the glitch is a lot simpler than what it looks like.
