It was a shock, certainly. But because of the whole mystery vibe, I was disappointed because there was never anything hinting towards his involvement. Nothing about how he'd come to work there, nothing about his relationship with the Prescott family. Unused game material very much suggests those pieces of evidence pointing to the Prescotts aren't so much a red herring as they are vestiges from an earlier iteration of the plot. I wanted to feel as though I'd missed something important, rather than merely subject to the whims of the plot.

I feel it's not really an asspull since they planned for Jefferson to be a villain since the beginning. They didn't do the hints and foreshadowing too well. --- Revolver Ocelot ... i played that game for all of like 20 minutes and i figured the teacher in the beginning was the villain
