What kills me is when I used to work for Kroger and wore that blue polo shirt, and i'd be in a store where the uniform was entirely different that I didn't work in, and people would just ask me what aisle things were on and not even bother to notice I wasn't wearing the black tee-shirt the rest of the staff was wearing.

...I usually took the time to help them regardless because that's how I am.

Glad i'm through that chapter of my life. Customer service desk in the middle of Atlanta was easily the worst thing I have done in my life, and I was in the military and deployed during wartime. It gave me a perception of how awful and dishonest people could really be to save a few dollars.

Sometimes they wouldn't even ask if I worked there they just asked their question.

I used to wear my work ID on a lanyard until the lanyard broke. You'd be surprised how many times I went to the store afterward and someone asked me where the restroom was.

Not that I minded helping. I just found it amusing. Someyimes my outfit looked nothing like the store uniform. Maybe managers dress differently at some places.
