By the time it's released the sequel trilogy will have already been finished.
2017: Episode 8 2018: Han Solo 2019: Episode 9 At that point in the story would people really care about what Obi-Wan did in-between 3-4? At least Solo showed up in Episode 7 so his movie could stay somewhat relevant to the sequel trilogy. What did Obi-Wan do in exile that could even be considered exciting? --- Never take life seriously. Nobody gets out alive anyway. ... Copied to Clipboard!

I don't want an Obi-Wan movie. That said I want a Han Solo movie EVEN LESS. There is literally no need for it. I'm actually not the biggest Harrison Ford fan, but in the case of Han, the man made the vest as much as the vest made the man. Anyone other than Ford as Solo is a disgrace.
All of that aside, my problem with these spin off films is they're still focusing on the same shit. RO wasn't perfect, but I enjoyed that it showed us different aspects of the galaxy and some different perspectives. I was hoping for more of it. Focusing on the same characters in the spin offs from the mainline only continues to shrink a universe that should feel expansive, but continues to feel smaller and smaller. Frankly I'd rather just keep getting mainline episodes every year at this point instead of these pointless spin offs. ... Copied to Clipboard!
