I have one but I don't ever really let the money I owe add up and usually pay it all in one go every time.

I've never had a credit card, and will likely never get one. My sister has had them, and handles them poorly.
The credit union I'm a member of issues debit cards, so I have one of those. Other than this I have purchased pre-paid Visas or Mastercards for online purchases (mostly Amazon). --- ... Copied to Clipboard!

yeah as long as you pay it off every month interest shouldnt affect you. keeping the utilization at around 15-20 percent is the best way to improve your score though

Citi Double Cash which gives me 2% cash back on all purchases, no annual fee, and no interest for first 12 months. Also they have an awesome mobile app. I've already made $275 cash back. I have a credit card and have racked up over 100k in points based on my use. That equates to over $1,000 cash or up to ~$1,300 if I redeem for travel. Currently has a $0 balance.
