I remember that being a big deal about a while ago but I didn't look too far into it. The thought popped in my mind when I saw Colin Trevorrow's name (directed Jurassic World, fired from Star Wars episode 9).

It was an extremely popular movie at the time. SJWs latch onto whatever is popular and make accusations of racism/sexism in order to get noticed.

Most people said it was sexy to think Bryce Dallas Howard can run from a T-Rex in high heels. Not every woman can run from a T-Rex in high heels.

I don't know about sexist. But the lady wearing her high heels the entire movie and then outrunning a T-rex in them was embarrassing.

Edit: And I think people rolled their eyes at her ripped skirt and shirt or something

Because the female characters were as deep as a puddle, and mostly just existed to trot out the tired trope of business woman has so many problems that can only be solved by the protagonist's penis.

It wasn't malevolently sexist, but it was a great example of how ubiquitous this benign form of sexism is.

There was an issue with it being sexist? Or was it some obscure blog writer got bent out of shape for dumb shit? That seems to be a trend.

Joss Whedon said something iirc.

Joss Whedon cried sexism for no reason.

The running in heels things was stupid though. Like it makes no fucking sense, but for some reason having a woman out of their feminine shoes indicating their feminine femininity is a big no no.

Not sexist, but stupid and... questionable.

You say stupid and questionable. I say sexy woman running from dinosaurs in a fictional setting that never has happened.

It's best to just ignore people who make wild claims about dinosaurs being sexist. They want attention, so if you acknowledge them, they win.

A lot of people complained about what happened to that assistant woman... and its uh, brutality

The heel thing is dumb because there's a scene where she's called out on her business attire so she dresses down to be more agile or whatever but still leaves the shoes on.

This was also weirdly out of place. She's barely in the movie and she did nothing wrong, but she gets a really drawn out death scene that's arguably more terrifying than what happens to all the villains in this franchise.

She was pre-occupied with her wedding and a tiny bit neglectful of the two most obnoxious kids ever in a movie who deserve to die simply for being born, therefore she deserved what happened to her.

Or something. Colin Treverrow is an idiot.

My hypothesis is that one of the people behind the script had a terrible experience with a nanny once, and did that to the movie nanny as some sort of bizarre, meta retribution.

Or maybe she was evil in an earlier draft and they never sorted out her death after a rewrite.

Also Chris Pratt was wasted and had like, no charm or charsima in this movie for some reason.

All the characters were shallow though. Like, the only guy that was portrayed with a hint of depth was the Asian Law and Order actor from the first movie.
