People always find something to "blame" or "condemn", this was just a single example.

As a parent even now I won't let my daughter watch certain cartoons because I think they are "not the best option".

So while it sucks I kind of get it. However compared to today's standards of cartoon and YT channels these old cartoons were and are pretty mild. The only people who actually get offended by these are SJW and maybe the far-left liberal (which I guess is the same thing).

Otherwise I think most rational people would really find little to no issue with these old cartoons.

Edit: Far-right religious conservatives might have an issue as well but are far more likely to mange it internally and not make a public stink about it.

I agree, and also it seems like these old cartoons were so shallow compared to what kids watch now. Tom and Jerry had almost no story to follow. I honestly think my son would get bored watching it

Let me guess, you just ass pulled that opinion and never actually put on a episode of Tom and Jerry for him to watch.

What a strangely defensive response

You don't have to be 18+ to see a rated R movie, you just need someone 18+ with you to give consent. I've been to many R rated movies before I turned 18, first one I remember seeing in theaters was Pet Cemetery when I was 7.

Has nothing to do with what we're discussing. It's not a matter of watching the movie, it's a matter of a marketing team promoting a rated R movie to kids with a toy line.

I will not put a episode on because my kid probably would like it and then I'd have to live with the fact that I was proven wrong on the internet.

I don't think any cartoons from the age are particularly stand out, just quaint and entertaining enough.

I remember a Tom & Jerry episode where Tom spent a small fortune on a girl which ended up with another guy. He gets depressed as hell and sits down on a railroad track.
Jerry tries to cheer him up before the same thing happen to him, a cute mouse lady speeding by in a car with a rich mouse guy.
It ends with both sitting on the railroad track, looking depressed as hell, and we hear a train whistle before the screen turns black.

LOL. That guy needs a career doing narrations for cartoons. Amazing.

Seen this clip numerous time, but the narrator made an already awesome clip even better...
