Joffrey, he is just comically evil because lol why not, while every other person that does terrible things has an actual reasoning and motivation, joffrey is just there doing shitty things because why the fuck not, and while that is certainly plausible due to his heritage, he seems like the one character the feels overly one dimensional.

Also, I complained about the tons of sex on screen with this one chick friend and she said that she likes it because lol it does not censor anything, but it totally does, the scenes are just softcore shit and the killing of babies is totally off screen so its all moot.

I understand that power corrupts, Robert while a lovable dick was also an asshole due to being drunk with power, but his code and treatment of those he loved while having disdain for those he did not made him a much better character.

you can have a drunk with power character that is not dumb amounts of evil, just cuz.

edit: oh and the babies being killed off screen is exactly that, censoring, if you are going to be edgy might as well go all in.

there are tons of characters in the story. why are you so mad that there is ONE evil character? he makes sense. like others said, he is a brat that was born into power and so it's actually pretty realistic . I mean he is also really young. he's till a kid. what is he like 13 or something?

There's a pretty good reason for his behavior and it has nothing to do with his age or being spoiled. He likely would have been "mad" regardless thanks to his genetics

Joffery is one of the more interesting characters because you can't just pin him down to a couple of traits. Yeah, he's a little shit, but he shows a caring side to a certain lady later on and it seems as if she is the only one that can bring out the good in him.

So, obviously he has some good in him, but it's buried so far down that no one will ever see it.

Some people are one-dimensional, I don't know what to tell you.

tommen was a weak willed easily manipulated bleeding heart who also wasnt really fit to be king

myrcella had the best chance of being a good ruler. neither as cruel as joffrey or as soft as tommen
but being a woman she was pretty much dead last in the line of succession so the odds of her ever sitting on the iron throne were practically non existent

also the sex kinda drops later on. it's all over the place in the early seasons, but later seasons tone it down. it sucks cause some people can't get past the early seasons and give up on the show and miss out. it has one of the best stories of any tv show. but people prudish about nudity refuse to give it a chance

Margaery Tyrell

She was shown to bring out a softer side to him. He would go with it and then resist, but I think he would have eventually been manipulated by her.

Honestly after seeing later seasons I don't even think that his madness was really hereditary due to incest .

With how cruel and insane Cersei is, he honestly followed her lead. We see how unstable Cersei is with absolute power finally. She's honestly like a more refined Joffrey.

This is about GoT, not ASOIAF. We have no idea who Myrcella was in GoT because she wasn't developed at all.

what did myrcella ever do to seem less soft than tommen, who is younger, anyway?
