Gameplay wise it's fantastic, however it's just lacking in...something

There's the odd chest here and there but other than that there's no reason to explore. It tried to copy the Dark Souls format, but the NPC's don't have much value, you can't buy anything, there's no quests. If there was just a little more to sink your teeth into it could have been something truly special. Because as it stands now, you traveling around and mastering your fighting style, it's a great feeling and something I've wanted in a game for a long time.

Maybe that's what sequels are for.

I agree. The game tried to be Dark Souls, but didn't really add to the world, characters, or story. There's not even that many enemies to really fight.The main "story" can be finished 100% in like 3 Hours tops and that's even with taking your time and exploring. Common defenders bring up that the campaign is a tutorial for PVP or that the game is more in common with fighters and the story part isn't the focus. If that's the case why even bother going about the game design in this way. Why not just make it linear and then just have a sole multiplayer mode like For Honor? Why even make it open world if there is nothing in it?
