Current Events > Westworld still boring/bland after episode 2. Does it get better?

Only things I like are Anthony Hopkins' character and Dolores. The looping timeline is just boring for the sake of entertainment, as are some inconsistencies with the time frame (if every day is like restarting a video games campaign mode, then how come it has tiers of difficulty or horrors miles and miles out from town? multiple days rides? wouldn't that be impossible in 24 hours?)

The show is super dry and super flat to me so far. Weird because I loved True Detective, another well praised moral/philosophical HBO series.

If you like those 2 characters, keep watching. I won't say much, but the daily-loop unravels pretty quick from from the show's perspective (it keeps coming back, but less often, and in different ways).

Also, to answer this question *minor spoilers*:
Each storyline is on its own loop. It ends when it's either completed, or the characters are killed. Some of the "starter town" storylines are designed to happen every day, but if any character is pulled from their story "loop" for some reason, that story won't "reset" until that branching path is done. So it's not that every day resets. You're just seeing things at the reset, but it could have been days or months. The result is the same "town" will appear subtly different every time you go back to it.

The show does not stay formulaic. It quickly branches out substantially.
