Was way more interested (and in Beverly's case, disturbed) when anything to do with the kids backstories at home were on screen.

Up front horror just...isn't good horror. It's not scary when it's right up on the screen in clear view. Was a lot more disturbed by Beverly and her fathers obvious sexual abuse.
