I like windows, but their web browsing capabilities have been crippled in 10. I didn't have the same problems running my browser over android.

Are you running any extensions? Have you tried blocking the particular script that is freezing up?

could be their normal site runs different scripts than their mobile site, and that it's just screwed up right now for some reason

Going off of treewojima's suggestion, try running a User Agent masker. On Firefox you can try User Agent Overrider. Change your User Agent to Chrome for Android and see if it helps with that site.
