If you hit even the smallest objects laying in the road it's gonna damage the paint or the body. Hell, you even have to be careful parking in spaces that have a parking bumper

If you run it on air bags, bumps aren't a problem.

tl;dr: If you race cars it's important

Most people that have them clearly aren't racing them though. They're just rednecks that think it's looks cool

Yeah, if it's a car designed just for speed then the ground clearance and shape is pretty important aerodynamically. If it's just somebody's riced up Mazda then it's because they wish it was designed for speed, not just a regular car with a bunch of shit bolted to it. You're free to laugh at them when they ruin their cars on speedbumps.

The worst I've ever seen was a few days ago, somebody with a lowered new Audi A8. So the moron paid tons of money for a specially designed magnetic ferrous suspension, then paid even more money to have a garage remove that suspension and replace it with some chopped down pickup springs.

used to live in a neighborhood that had speed bumps and this one dude actually went around the place measuring all the speed bumps to discover ones on a particular road where slightly lower, so he'd drive a longer way to his house just for that half a inch or so lower speed bumps.

as for me I don't want speed bumps being my arch nemesis so no.

While I agree that it's stupid, I'm not exactly sure that rednecks are really the demographic doing that. They're usually doing the opposite in putting moronically huge lifts on pickups.

Sounds stupid. I don't see low to the ground cars here much, pickup lifts are the thing here.

pick up lifts where popular here for awhile until that fad started. apparently its to make it look like the truck is carrying a heavy load. my question is, what happens then when you do actually need to carry a heavy load.
