The issue is there's no uniformity between what gets modded and what doesn't. There are guidelines but it all comes down to moderator discretion. In the end, it doesn't matter because it's just silliness. This mod just made me laugh because I'm a chick asking a dude if he was on his period and both parties involved have a good sense of humor so ultimately neither were offended.

I agree fully with both of you. It sucks, I've been coming here for a loooong time now and watching this place that used to be 1 of my favorite holes in the internet slowly turn into what it is today is mildly depressing. I've found Reddit is a much more amicable place and the key difference is there mods are generally consistent with the rules and aren't shy to enforce them.

first it devolved into into people accusing him of being a crybaby demanding LGBT stuff be forced into gaming then it devolved into discussing the pros/cons of the electoral college

yeah and if I could reach through a magazine article and slap the writer I would. got a game informer magazine recently (I know I know, its not that great of a magazine but I got the sub for free basically)

and there was a article titled "get your politics into my video games" and it went on arguing why politics should be a part of video game plots and what not.

which is fine in games mimicking the real world, but for those that don't just no... I play them to escape reality

it wasn't as much in my generation but it started it. my generation is the one that started the crap if a kid was anything but normal they tried putting them on medication. which later led to said kids when grown up would use their "disorder" as a crutch or excuse

edit: hell quite a few started doing drugs as once they became adults the world basically went "hey you are an adult now cope with out the meds like the rest of us" and snatched the meds from them.
