US retailer Best Buy and Best Buy Canada has YANKED Kaspersky off its shelves as there are concerns that the RUSSIAN based anti-virus software is linked to Russian Intelligence!!

The Big Box Retailer did not announce the change but the website has already stopped selling the software

A Best Buy spokeswoman confirmed the news that action was taken over concerns that it is linked to the russian government..

Kaspersky denies that it has russan links as the 2 firms "have suspended their relationship at this time. However, the relationship may be re-evaulated in the future. Kaspersky Lab has enjoyed a decade-long partnership with Best Buy and its customer base, and Kasperksy Lab will continue to offer its industry leading cybersecurity solutions to consumers through its website and other retailers"

It was founded by Russian born Eugene Kasperky who operates a global busines with 400 million product users which has its main office in Russia and the United States

In July, the US Gov't removed Kaspersky from its list of approved vendors after US Top intelligence agency and law enforcement officials expressed concerns about the safety of its software.

Democratic Senator Jeanne Shaheen said she was introducing a legislation to ban US government bodies from using Kaspersky software but no evidence has been presented yet to back up the vague assertians it might be a tool of Moscow
