i have 2 american express cards, the Blue Cash Everyday and the SPG which i just got.

weirdly, the SPG account got approved for a 1000 dollar credit limit. which from what i hear, is pretty normal. Amex has a certain amount of credit they give you, and really you just barely got in if you have a 1000 limit.

my BCE has a limit of $165000, which is why i was so confused. and honestly, using a card with a 1000 limit would be difficult (imagine if i paid cash, i couldn't even put a weeks stay on the card at an SPG hotel!)

so i contacted their support, and they happily, easily moved some of my credit on my BCE card to my SPG. just like that!

folks, if you want SUPERB service, and QUICK, FRIENDLY customer service, go with American Express. they're DELIGHTFUL.

also i got no new hard pull on my credit report for applying for this card.

they were just like "oh him? he's a big baller. give him a card"
