I preordered a game about 10 days in advance back in July and got it 4 days late. I complained, they gave me a $10 credit and said in the future they would reassess carriers to avoid it happening again.

Fast forward to present day, I preordered Metroid with a week to spare, thinking it'sa big deal game so it shouldn't have stock issues or anything, and it's telling me the estimated delivery is the monday after it releases.

I mean I know it's not a big deal, and I appreciate that they give you a credit for it, but honestly I'd rather just have the release date shipping that's supposed to be included with Prime... If they want you to preorder stuff 4 months in advance to guarantee you get it on time, then at least tell us to do that.

Or you could just go to the store Monday night and pick it up.

Then you lose out on the discount you get with Prime. $60 games run for $43 bucks on there.
I'm not criticizing Amazon since they have great customer service, I'm just wondering why this started happening to me recently when I never had issues with release date shipping in the past. Like I said, I'd rather just get the benefits I'm supposed to have by paying for Prime, than to keep having them toss me gift cards add a consolation prize.
