Billy Magnussen joines Will Smith, Naomi Scott and newcomer Mena Massoud in the live action remake of the beloved 1993 animated movie. Billy will play another prince who plays Prince Anders, a new character who appears as a love rival for Princess Jasmine The studio is being hit with accusations of whitewashing on social media for casting a white character in the Arab-style folktale set in the MIDDLE EAST.. Many were confused as to why a white character had to be added to the story when there never been one before. One user said "I'm sick of all this whitewashing. First Death Note & now Aladdin? Ya'll just don't seem to get it" NYT bestseller Jeetendr Sehdev asked whether Billy should step down over this new controversy. Guy Ritchie even reportedly wanted TOM HARDY to play the villain JAFAR back in the summer. The movie was already criticized for casting Naomi Scott, an Indian British Actress rather than a middle eastern star as Jasmine. wtf? this story takes place in ancient middle east. while some white people could have traveled there....I don't think a prince would. especially one named Anders. that sounds like a western european name, not someone from like Russia or somewhere near the middle east. this makes no sense and will be a giant plot hole. what the fuck are they thinking?

Anders sounds like German or French or English maybe. not sure which. but it sounds nothing close to the middle east. and no prince would travel that far to marry someone in that time period. actually Indian would make more sense than Russian. but either way, this kinda pisses me off ...
