So I'm replacing the covers for the power outlets and light switches in my house and wanted to swap out a few power outlets to get USB ports.

I found this one on Amazon and wanted to know if anyone has had any good/bad results with a product like this?

They work fine, for the most part. But remember it's just a usb port with power. It can't do anything beyond charging or possibly activing the product. If it needs configuration via a PC or something, it most likely won't be working right

You can buy ones that just plug into the wall that have power outlets and USB outlets

Worked great when I've used them in hotels.

I saw one in a store and was thinking the same thing. Good for just keeping a few cables, and carrying the actual transformers when going somewhere else.

I've got one, works great and has two usbs and an AC. led light on when you charge.

I like them because you theoretically get the maximum possible amperage out of them, there are plenty of perfectly good outlets that get bottlenecked by like, a 1 amp (or sometimes even lower) power adapter. With USB outlets, you just take a decent fast charging/USB type-c/etc cable, and you're good to go full speed.

That's all I want. Honestly I'm just sick of having these USB adapters all over my house.

Do you know what brand you got? Or how much they were?

You won't get things like Qualcomm quick charge. It's all fine and dandy but there's nothing saying that the current charging standards will be what they are in 5+ years.
