To think I was hyped for the idea of this game several months ago. Now that it's such a bland Fates-Awakening fest, and the fact that it comes out a week before Mario, I've lost any and all reasons to buy this.

I was excited for this game when it was announced, but the cast of characters they've chosen just makes me sad and I've lost most interest in it..

Yeah, I mean they did state beforehand that it would mainly be Shadow Dragon, Awakening, and Fates, but seeing so much focus on the latter two is a bit of a letdown.

Plus, I'm not completely sold on the Warriors gameplay itself, anyway.

Haha, nope.

The most from other FE games we'll likely get are the ones who have amiibo, so Alm and Celica (Gaiden/Shadows of Valentia), Roy (Binding Blade), and Ike (Path of Radiance/Radiant Dawn).

I still have hope we'll at least get Tiki from Shadow Dragon (probably with an Awakening Tiki skin).

And yeah, I'm not sure we needed the youngest sisters as playable. Mounted Spell caster is covered by Leo. Archer is covered by Takumi, and while we're certainly going to have overlap of types of characters, it seems like a waste to have them from the same family that we already have four characters from. Then again maybe the healing aspect of their character will be super important. I don't know.

Fates sells the highest despite being the most garbage story to ever grace the franchise so get over it, Roy,Ike,Lyn,Hector,Alm whatever else aren't happening, Any other shadow dragon characters besides Tiki aren't happening, Fates will get the majority of the roster and the bulk of the story as well, I'd even go as far as to say they'll get more characters than Awakening,too. Tharja would cause the game's rating to go up if they use her creepy ass

Mostly as DLC. This topic is arguing that they should be in the base game and advertised to generate hype, instead we have all these OC and Fates characters discouraging sales.

I doubt anyone's gonna be rushing to get this to play as Eliwood, Barst, or Wrys. I'm glad they're prioritizing Awakening/Fates because I'm sure they realize how easily they could be DLC as well.

Those older characters are more likely to be DLC because they'll know then if they're worthwhile to make.

That being said, Elise/Sakura are relatively passive units, at least with their initial class. Not sure why they're being considered as some of the first choices for officers here.
