Balrog0 09/06/17 4:30:14 PM #54:	the reason this type of intervention could be successful is that 1) very few people commit a huge proportion of violent crimes (well, all crimes) and 2) identifying who is going to commit violence before it occurs is hard, since even for the most disadvantaged youth, the vast majority of people don't commit violent crimes essentially what this does is target a wider net of at-risk youth than just violent criminals per se, but a smaller net than programs aimed at the whole group of kids who are socially or economically disadvantaged tbqh I would put it into the "community policing" bucket of crime prevention, I think a lot of the program could work even without stipends --- He would make his mark, if not on this tree, then on that wall; if not with teeth and claws, then with penknife and razor. <cite>Balrog0 posted [p:886140439] in Sacramento...
