If so, what did you eat while you were there?

I went today with my family & I had:
-A pork chop on a stick.
-A slice of pizza.
-A pronto pup.
-Teriyaki chicken & noodles.
-Some nitro ice cream.

You didn't get cheese curds? Disappointed in you.
Also everyone raves about sweet Martha's cookies, but to me they are kind of meh. The other thing that stood out for me was the big fat bacon on a stick and also the lightly sprinkled pecans.

I always aim to try a couple different things while I'm at the state fair, so the cheese curds are too filling an option (plus there's a couple restaurants in the cities that imo have superior curds). Sweet Martha's I actually worked at one summer(!), so I'm a little burned out on their cookies for the next couple years.

Big Fat Bacon is on my list of things to try next year, along with the following:
-Pulled turkey sandwich from Turkey to Go
-Fries from that one french fry stand
-Pork mole tamale
-Alligator on a stick

Just came from the fair. I got my bucket of Sweet Martha's cookies right next to me. Had some great cheese curds today. I also really dig the cheese on a stick.

I also hit up the unlimited milk stand for something to dirk with my cookies. Just feeling extremely full now.

Every few years my wife forgets what the state fair is like and wants to go back. Luckily this was not one of those years.

The only time I've ever gone of my own free will was years ago when their was a Weird Al concert at the fair.

It's been a while since I've been there, but I remember Groveland Tap in St Paul having amazing cheese curds. There's probably a couple others that I can't remember off the top of my head.

I went a couple years ago and got some poutine and the cookies. It was so fucking crowded I'm probably never going back.

Went many times as a kid. Havent been back in 12 years or so. Just don't care for it.

I went there a couple times. Walking and eating, walking and eating. The food is good if you want to enter cardiac arrest in the next five years, but I don't think I could eat like that again.

Never been to the Minnesota State fair, but I've been to other fairs. Last time I went to the local Fair I had deep fried butter, deep fried Twinkie, and chocolate covered bacon on a stick.

Ren fest us awesome as well. I hope this year that they get 2 million visitors in the two weeks so that they can break 2016's record.

Also I do not remember seeing many old fat people. I wasn't necessarily looking for them and I have lived in Mississippi so unless there are three fat people blocking my way then I am not noticing them.

Tbh I've never had any problems with mosquitoes at the fair... or any insects for that matter.
