Why is it that Increased reaction seems to be seen as a good/okay thing, but health or strength boosting is generally bad?

I'm not talking about stupid shit like bullet sponges but just a character with more
health and strength.

For a character, it'd make sense for some people to be stronger than you.

Yet with increasing reaction time, iirc the game just reads button presses, clicks, etc earlier as if it were reading your mind. Knowing what you're doing and how to react in a way before it should be possible, to artificially and unfairly give them more possible time to react by basically cheating. This is much more ridiculous and much less realistic to me.

Seems silly to think reading minds is more likely, realistic, and/or better than a character just being stronger overall imo.

What does CE think

input reading is the devil itself imo

Takes the fun out of fighting games AI. Boss battles in other games I understand getting stronger, but it's totally bs if they input read and react just as fast
