Blaziken (pretty much vital, since the only other fire types were Numel, Slugma and Torkoal) Azumarill Breloom (Sporepunching is a thing in gen 3 right?) Dodrio (kinda middlish, bit of a bro) Gardevoir/Alakazam (if you can trade) Filler. and the thing about Crobat is that you can get it before the endgame. FRLG just shoehorned the requirement because they wanted to be faithful to the original games...doesn't stop them from almost obliterating gen 4 with HGSS. Filler kinda went around either Slaking or Flygon, maybe even Rayquaza...if only because of how difficult Wallace's Milotic was. i mean at least Steven had steel/rock/ground types, you'll probably only have some problem with Claydol (levitates) and Metagross. and even then, 3 of them packed Earthquake. Trainer Eyes as a rematch method is slower than the VS tracker in FRLG so it's possible that you might have a moderately levelled team in Emerald, but nothing good for Milotic.
