The experience I had is exactly why I don't watch movie trailers or read descriptions. I had 2 or 3 moments of "Oh THIS is what the movie is about?" as the worldbuilding did a great job showing itself to me.

If you haven't seen it and like a sci-fi movie just go watch it blind. Don't read the description, don't watch a trailer just go watch it blind. It's a really amazingly good movie.

It's on netflix right now.

Did you know the whole premise/plot going in? Because I strongly disagree with you. The world building was great, every choice was great and allowed for a narrative where you really do not know what is going to happen next.

The majority of movies suffer from me knowing exactly what was going to happen or being uninvested due to uninteresting premise or unlikable characters, this had likable characters, an interesting premise, and a really robust job of world building and premise execution.

I like how it subverted the whole jumping into a dumpster for a soft landing trope.

It went between subverting expectations and fulfilling them brilliantly such that you never new what was going to happen at any given time.

It was exactly what this kind of movie should be.

A friend recommend it to me. All I knew going in was one actress played multiple characters.
So I watched it and I thought it was just okay. I didn't dislike it or anything.

The synopsis looks interesting. My friend says Willaim Dafoe is in the movie, so I might check it out .

Dammit, you'd enjoy the movie more if you went in blind :/

Having the movie itself reveal the premise/synopsis is so much more fun than just reading the blurb.

I don't know why people like going into a movie only after they know exactly what is going to happen for the first 15-30 minutes. But to each their own I guess.

That said I do appreciate you not posting any spoilers here greatly. It really is a good movie.

I meant the description that Netflix had before going into watching the movie, other than that I barely know a thing about the movie. So yeah me using the word "synopsis" was a poor choice lol.

No I know, but what I meant by blind was "don't even read the description".

Yeah most people can't do this for every movie, but if you've ever enjoyed a movie for a twist or reveal watching a movie blind will make even the premise seem like a cool reveal.

My hope was that my recommendation will get somebody to watch the film knowing 0 about it like I did (that means no trailers or even synopsis) and then they go it and they have the awesome viewing experience I just did.
