And being such a socially maladjusted weirdo in my formative years. I regret never getting a higher education and never having the "college experience".

These things will haunt me as long as I live.

My greatest regret is going to college

what a fucking waste of money state universities are. You expect an 18 year old to decide what career they want? Of course I picked something stupid and realized it too late. My professors thought they were gods because they've been in school for 30 years and looked down on us choosing anything but their particular subject as our focus

I met some great friends though

I went and actively avoided the "college experience" and have zero regrets.

My biggest regret is generally doing nothing with my life until 2005.

College is virtually for friends and making social experiences. You can make a very good living learning a trade without the expensive college debt.

How old are you?

I just went back to college at 28 and am 30 now. I got my associates and working on a bachelors.

It was the best choice I ever made and I am loving it a lot. I'd never have been so invested when I got out of high school. I'm overly invested now.

Having people who can barely speak English teach my calculus in the most expensive school in the State really soured me. I also had a professor lose my final and fail me.

i been thinking of doing the same. i went and got an associates in business right after high school. bout to be 30 so it's been like 10 years since i went now besides for going for one semester when i was like 22 and then ran out of money and stopped. been thinking of going back for a couple years but haven't yet so now i'm regretting not just going and getting it over with.

i don't wanna go for business anymore. i wanna do something with computers but not sure yet. but if my associates transfers then i should be able to get an associates in my new field quickly enough and then start working on a bachelors. but would just be hard with working full time so probably can only take like 2 classes a semester or something but do wanna start going again in january. think it's too late to sign up for this fall.

Do it. It might seem out there going back with kids, but you get into it. I've seen people in their 50s. I've seen MANY around my own age that I've made friends with. It's not as crazy as it seems as this age. Don't regret it any longer. Seriously. Get out there and just DO IT! :)

I've lived a lot of life and not had the corresponding "life experience".

that's not your biggest regret because you didn't do anything/not your fault. Keep your head up dawg

I regret not having a better family. Theyre kind of assholes. I cant fight off my cynicism. I figure everyone is a horrible human being until they prove otherwise. They dont have to prove anything but ill just assume theyre horrible people.

You better be trolling, because if I were 21 instead of what I am I'd have so much more hope/possibility.

If you are serious let me know I can give you advice that you better fucking listen to.

Any specific reason for why you think this is going to be your daughter's fate?

No, not really. If it happens ill go into a deep depression and when and if im ever over that ill just be a complete asshole so i just figure its bound to happen. She seems really smart and happy so that will make it even worse and more likely to happen.

Nope. I've met several people your age and older in college over the course of my college life. You have plenty of time man. Even mid twenties is still a prime age for a larger university to experience the "college life." EDIT: Mid twenties is probably the upper limit tbh, but 21 is still very young. You ahve to remember some people take years off and don't enter until they're around 20 which isn't much younger than you.

College has definitely been the best four years of my life as a lot of people claim it to be. Not really any regrets either. I'd probably just regret it if I didn't ever go. Though I missed several opportunities for some easy puss because I'm a bitch, but life is about more than just that, and I have good ol' Jill to rely on, so eh.

I'm serious. I feel like I've missed valuable and important social experiences and have no chance to experience anything like that

There's also the fact that I can't reasonably expect to actually get into a school because of my piss-ass hs record and having dropped out of community college twice. Don't even know what my gpa is or how many credits i left with.

i've got a buddy who just went back to school at 26. only the second week of his first semester (well, technically third since he dropped out after his first year, but yeah) and he's having a blast (although struggling to balance work and college, but still)
already made friends and no one gives a crap that he's like 7 years older than them

I didn't start college until my mid 20s, I worked labor and warehouse jobs and delivered pizzas after high school while partying in my free time. No regrets, I have a cushy white collar job now. I guess I could be closer to retirement if I started right out of college but oh well, most people are working well into their 60s anyway.
