We went to McDonald's for lunch. We wear high vis vests and hardhats and shit because we drive heavy equipment for a power company.
Lady behind the counter goes "So do you guys work for the highway?" I go "Actually we don't really work much at all" as a joke. She laughed. Some stupid guy next to me filling his drink goes on this loud numbskull rant about how the highway department doesn't do shit, their always behind schedule, waste money, blah blah blah. I don't work for the damned highway, and I never even corrected him, but him talking shit about my fake profession pissed me off. Lady hands me my food and I just turn to the guy and go "Hey man you wanna know what I call my paycheck?" He goes "Oh do tell." "Your paycheck." And walked out lmao. The guy complaining thinks they worked for the highway department. Which made him start complaining about the highway department.
