I got hit up with an invitation to interview for a senior account manager position today. Would be responsible for a team at 2 different location.

I just can't shake the imposter syndrome mentality. Like who the fuck is suggesting I be a senior team member, I still think about batman daily.

Any tips on this? Feel a bit junior. I guess even if I'm not appropriate for the position I should go for it anyway. I have this fear of not being good enough though.

any sort of progress, esp in the business world, is going to involve you having to step out of your comfort zone and attempt something above your level.

but honestly if youre getting hit up for interviews in senior roles you clearly have some kind of skill or experience that will make you potentially a good fit, so you just need to roll with it. the negative thoughts are just irrational fears and if you listened to them all the time youd be in the same job till you died

You're right, they wouldn't have even bothered with the invite if there wasn't something there worth seeing. I guess I talk myself out of these things too much.
