And a lot of police don't like to file these kinds of reports because they often never get pulled or looked at again, and that's assuming they're sympathetic to the victim. If man was beating up a puppy, people would have an issue with it also. It still doesn't go unpunished, but it's so much more common that society is more desensitized. Growing up, my dad taught me to never hit a woman under any circumstance. He also taught me to stand up for myself if another male was bullying me. There is a definitive divide. Women are to be respected, period. It's part of the long foundations of humanity. You wouldn't hit a woman even if she was tall and would be punching you as hard as she could or if you were attacked by 2 or 3 women at once?
