In all honesty, Mayweather should have lost the match 6-7 rounds in. Not because McGregor was outboxing him, but because he kept turning his back to McGregor trying to force him to get disqualified.

I don't watch much boxing but the guy turned his back at least 3 times a round.

I would like to see a rematch if Floyd would ever want one. Maybe 2 years from now when McGregor gets a chance to work on his long term conditioning.

He out boxed him, boxing is more than just throwing a punch and having it connect.

Yes because hammerfists to the head are usually allowed that many times

McGregor has had all the time in the world to work on his conditioning after the Diaz fight where he was gassed at the end. That just isn't who he is.

Mayweather would never agree to that unless he's in debt again. Plus he already lost 4-5 rounds to McGregor, an amateur boxer.

Are you just gonna keep saying he won 4 to 5 rounds when it's been proven it isn't true

Mayweather got lucky, the fight should have been called earlier than what it was. He shouldn't have been allowed to keep turning his back after the first time. The ref should have warned him after the first time. Regardless, mayweather is still a piece of shit woman beater who should be in prison.

If you're going to be strict on the rules, Conor McGregor would have been disqualified several times in the first couple of rounds for hammerfisting the back of Mayweather's head.

It's pretty clear they relaxed some of the rules for this fight.

wow so many people picking on that I don't watch much boxing, but even the commentators said it that Mayweather was doing it on purpose to try and get McGregor disqualified.

McGregor was warned about the hammer fists but Mayweather not about turning around?

Anyways, its a good fight nonetheless.

McGregor hit like 50 back head shots, clinched, low blowed, and hammer fisted. If anyone should've lost early, it'd be McGregor. Floyd didn't turn his back. McGregor was actually good at his sport and sidestepped but was in the wrong ring for that.

The ref did tell Mayweather to stop turning around.

I will say this. Had they allowed Hammer Fists in the boxing ring, McGregor probably would have knocked him out in the second round. Mayweather was ducking quite a bit in the first 3 rounds.

He's been just parroting what some other posters said and just ignoring other people actually explaining it to him. He hates Mayweather so he'll just keep Goin off this narrative

It's a very rare situation in any sport where baiting your opponent into breaking a rule is actually a serious violation itself.

That's like if Floyd said "Kick me" and McGregor was stupid enough to do it. Floyd isn't getting the penalty for that.
