It's thought provoking and very emotionally raw. It explores the social constructs in rural america in the 1960s' and what it was like to be gay/bisexual. Ultimately, it is about the emotional damage done to all parties involved when gay men marry women and attempt to live straight lives due to social pressure.

Most romance movies these days are just shallow chick-flicks, but BM is exceptionally well-made IMO. Definitely recommend it if you haven't seen it already.

I think the point of the show was that they should never have put themselves into that situation to begin with, but the environment around them made it inevitable.
But yeah, how they behaved once they were in that spot is definitely a moral call.

Never saw it, the premise didn't interest me. Before you make assumptions, any romance or relationship drama film doesn't interest me.

thats my experience with LGBT films
they are either super boring or super depressing but either way i never end up liking them


the 2 LGBT films i do like are called "but im a cheerleader" and "4th man out"
