His effort is totally wasted though. It's like explaining to someone that water is wet and they reply with "it's actually dry but in another corporeal dimension that overrides ours". You could talk to that person for decades and they wouldn't budge.

The whole time the religious guy is trying to advocate for faith, but then he throws faith in the trash and tries to use logic to prove god, then all the sudden faith is irrelevant.

If all it takes for one to "disprove God" is by saying "You're wrong, your beliefs are stupid, and that makes you stupid as well, so here are some reasons why I myself think your personal beliefs are stupid" what the hell kind of argument is that, to try and sway someone to a more accurate version of what is fact versus fiction? Believing in a higher power, origin of existence/consciousness, or a "God" is a personal choice in the first place. So how are you supposed to disprove something that is a personal choice you make based on your own conclusions of what you feel or understand to be the truth when you can't prove or disprove it to anyone besides yourself unless they agree as well, either way?

Atheism is just as "stupid". Both are personal beliefs, and in reality neither one is stupid. As far as I can tell, this video series thing is mostly going to be focused on religion anyway, and I'm not completely on board with religion, but there's no one on this board or IRL that can sit here and successfully "Disprove God" to me, because it is a belief system. You're gonna sit here and tell me why/how an inter-dimensional being that would exist outside the scope of our 3D realm, the only realm we currently have access to, based on the only knowledge and "facts" we have that originated INSIDE of this realm, doesn't actually exist. And I'm not talking about something one would refer to as a "sky-daddy". I'm talking about a main source of all energy, consciousness, transcending time and space, that would be the essential holder of the fabric of reality, something akin to being the computer and the programmer at the same time, and then we exist on foundations built under that higher level of reality. You can argue with religion and all that, or inconsistencies within texts all you want, but to just say "no, we don't actually have souls, sorry, you are insignificant in the grand scheme of reality and once you die, you just cease to exist, there is nothing left for you to experience" sounds like a grand misconception/deception to me. I already have too many spiritual experiences under my belt that tell me otherwise, anyway.

So in conclusion, I didn't even really watch it, just ended up on the receiving side of this guy's negative bullshit, which sparked my own retaliatory style of rant here, because it annoys me when people try to present their arguments by acting as if anyone with the opposing viewpoint is of less intelligence which in turn gives them the right to talk shit. That is not a valid form of a productive argument. Basically this guy trolled my ass in two minutes. If someone wants to respond to any of this rhetoric, go ahead, but don't start out doing it like that guy did, or I'm not even gonna fucking respond to you, insulting my intelligence, because productive discussion is only achieved when knowledge is shared and discussed, not attacked. We haven't discovered everything we're going to discover yet one way or another about the nature of reality. Doesn't mean you have to be a dick. What do you achieve with such an argument besides propping up your own ego, as the person who is "more right"? I don't give a fuck how right you think you are, that's not how you change someone's beliefs. That's how you piss them off.

Which, I'm just going to add, is another reason why I only pop up around here once every so often these days. I don't function well in negative environments because like attracts like, and I would like to keep as positive of a mindset as possible. That's just me, things get to me easily and I can live without the BS. Over the years I have grown very unlike most of the influences I have surrounded myself with, and I don't really have a single place that I feel at home at, because I don't know anyone else that shares my beliefs or that I could discuss them with openly with, without the negative backlash.

what does transcending time mean to you?
